We took to the streets and spoke to KeylahPunk aka Lucky Makume, former soccer player, dancer, choreographer, fashion designer, fashionista, rapper… Clearly #OrangeFarmIsNotAJungle, one guy who does so much?
Lucky is the brains behind StraatPack Market, an event that brings all young creatives (fashion, food, music) together to showcase their businesses. A movement which has successfully brought young creatives from the Vaal, Soweto and of course, from (1841) Orange Farm for the past 1 year 6 months, airing every 1st Sunday of each month.
‘…nge-style ngiyabulala…buza nabadala…’ a hook (chorus) from his local radio station (Thetha FM) chart topping track, ‘Istayela samahala’. Durban brought you ‘Igqom’, Khuli Chana is co-founder of the ‘Motswako’ sound, KeylahPunk brings you ‘Makoporosh’ sound, he says.
